The Box Demon was hiding and living in Horst's interdimensional money box. Courage found the box before Eustace opens it, even after Shirley, Courage, and Horst warned him not to. Shirley forces the demon back into the box by shutting the box on lid, saving Muriel and Eustace.

The demon box was known to be aggressive and hostel demon that drag and imprison his victims alive whoever choose to be greedy for money. How ever the demon reveals to have a sense of honor like he's willing to give only 100 $ whoever proves themselves selfless when Shirley didn't hesitate but rather accused Eustace for disobeying Horst wishes to get rid of the box. After she sealed it to save Muriel while hoping Eustace has yet learned his lesson, the demon rewards her with 100$ for proving herself selfless.
The Box demon's arms and hands are the only parts visible. It is unknown what the rest of the body of the creature looks like as it was never fully emerged from the box.
