Dilly is a slim, yellow human that is seen quite often throughout Courage the Cowardly Dog, and is generally thought to be a caricature of series creator John R. Dilworth. Dilly never speaks, but is seen in 'Easter egg-like' pictures placed around the town of Nowhere. A portrait of Dilly can also be seen in the Bagge's household during most episodes, hanging on the wall above the staircase. These images usually show a close up of Dilly's face with a caption saying a variation of "Dilly Sez: Don't Smoke."
The caricature is not to be confused with the font of the same name, that was also made by Dilworth.
