Courage the Cowardly Dog

Farmer-Hunter, Farmer-Hunted is part two of the fourth episode from Season Four, which aired September 27, 2002, alongside The Uncommon Cold.

Synopsis

After Eustace unsuccessfully hunts a deer, the Buck decides to fight against him and chases after the so-called hunter.

Plot

It's the first day of hunting season, and Eustace goes hunting to prove he's better than his dead brother, Horst. He uses Horst's old gun, "Big Bob" which is a laser gun! Courage goes with him to makes sure he's safe. Eustace spots a bunch of deer and fails to shoot them. The father deer then gets his own laser gun and goes after Eustace! Courage says he can settle this by having a game show with the deer and Eustace, which he dubs "Hunt for Knowledge." They play, and the deer wins. Eustace tries to shoot him, but instead he hits a bear's lollipop. When the bear asks who shot it, Eustace takes the deer's antlers, switches them with his hunter's hat, and tells the bear that the deer is the hunter and Eustace is a deer. Hunters come by and think that Eustace is a deer, too, and shoot him. The episode ends with Eustace being mounted on a hunter's (Jay O Kerwood) car as the hunting trophy; said hunter is declared the year's hunting contest winner "the oddest deer of the year", saying, "I'm a deer, Useless the Deer!"
