* This episode have similarities with the episode "be careful what you wish for" from cow and chicken series. As in both episodes start with eaustace and chicken watching the tv, but they are rude with muriel and cow for bother them (eaustace choose intentionally ignore to muriel/ chicken snapped and lash out to cow), bringing as consequence that muriel and cow became mute after be offended by the rudeness of eaustace and chicken. And this bring a karma to eaustace and chicken: eaustace is forced to buy his breakfast as muriel refused to talk him and do her chores by be angry with eaustace. In the case of chicken, he is run over for a truck driver and both are brought to a court room with cow as the only witness of the accident, unfortunately she refuse to testify in favor of chicken by his wish of that cow never talk again, bringing as consequence that chicken was arrested.

"Muted Muriel" is part two of the eighth episode in Season Four of Courage the Cowardly Dog, written by David Steven Cohen. It aired October 25, 2002.

Synopsis

Muriel refuses to talk because Eustace keeps ignoring her. To resolve this conflict, Courage has Shirley summon a Giant Starfish that can only be stopped by the sound of Muriel's voice.
