Courage the Cowardly Dog

The Beaver appeared as a secondary character in the episode A Beaver's Tale. He has the same features of an average beaver. Though, he wears gloves, an orange vest and a construction hat, unlike a real beaver.

Appearance[]

In his first and only appearance, he is shown building a giant, concrete dam, which forces a large amount of water to flood the town of Nowhere. After the Bagge's farmhouse is almost entirely underwater, Courage travels across the town to find the source of the problem. Eventually, he comes upon the Beaver and his gigantic dam. Courage begins to question the Beaver. Eventually, the furry mammal is fed up with Courage and he flattens and flings the dog off the dam and into the water below.

Courage tries to thwart the Beaver's plans by biting and punching the dam. During all this, Courage obtains his yo-yo back from a lobster that previously stole it. Though, all his actions are unsuccessful and he is ultimately covered in cement by the Beaver. While he is stuck, Courage realizes his right hand is sticking out of the glob of cement and can be used. He then begins to fling around his yo-yo and accidentally ties it around a pipe. He begins to pull on the pipe in a rhythmic pattern. The sound of the pipe being jolted forward attracts the attention of the Beaver, who heavily enjoys the theme. After he taps his tail in sync with the music, the Beaver climbs down the dam to confront Courage.

The Beaver gives Courage a viewfinder disk that contains images such as the Beaver's father directing him towards investing his time being a construction worker instead of a musician. Courage helps the Beaver persue his dreams and at the end of the episode, as they both perform a jazzy song at a club.
